With a view to the internationalisation of the service, the Targa API has been replaced by the new endpoints in the Automotive API where data and information will also be available for countries such as France, the UK and Germany. The documentation will no longer be updated and the API will be deprecated on 31/12/2025. Proceed with the migration from the Targa API to Automotive in seconds!
Licence plates allows you to have real-time and API-driven detailed information on any Italian vehicle, car or moped by simply entering the licence plate data as a parameter.
The database is constantly updated and data come from official sources.
Here are some examples of up-to-date information available on cars and motorbikes:
- model
- registration date
- brand
- version
- displacement
- horsepower
- number of doors
Licence plates also provides specific information on the vehicle's insurance. It is possible to find out via API whether the vehicle is insured, the name of the insurance company and the expiry date of the policy.
