The parameter needed to make a request to the 3 endpoints of the License Plate and Insurance API is the licence plate of the vehicle.
The /auto/{targa} endpoint returns detailed information about a car, such as:
- description
- registration date
- model
- brand
- version
- displacement
- horsepower
- number of doors
The /moto/{targa} endpoint returns detailed information about a motorbike, such as:
- description
- registration date
- model
- brand
- version
- displacement
- horsepower
The /assicurazione/{targa} endpoint returns specific information about the vehicle's insurance, in particular
- name of the insurance company
- policy expiry date
- indicates whether the vehicle is insured or not
The service returns the response in real time.
Currently this information is only available for Italy.
The cost of a single request starts at €0.30.
Yes, you can activate an annual subscription, and thus save on the cost of a single call, for all 3 endpoints (Auto/Moto/Assicurazione = Car/Motor Vehicle/Insurance).
In the Subscription section of the individual API you can see the available options (with their prices and savings percentage) and you can also activate the subscription you prefer.
In the Usage section, at the API level, you can monitor your free and subscription or top-up requests.
They are available both graphically (period month and year) and with a textual summary.
All data come from official and certified sources. The main source is the PRA, the Italian Public Vehicle Register.
